Endodontic Procedures

The pulp inside your tooth contains nerves, blood vessels, connective tissues, and stem cells. If the pulp is damaged or infected, the tooth may die. Dr. Azad, Dr. Vuong, Dr. Nazmi & Dr. Kopii can perform endodontic procedures to restore and preserve teeth with damaged or diseased pulp tissue.

Root Canal

A root canal, the most common dental procedure for saving a tooth with a diseased or damaged pulp, is highly effective. It involves removing the pulp, disinfecting the canals, and replacing it with gutta-percha, which not only preserves the tooth but also prevents the spread of infection.

Endodontic Retreatment

Although rare, a root canal may fail, leading to new infection. When this happens, endodontic retreatment is an effective solution. The root canal is re-opened, and the canals are again disinfected, packed, and sealed.

Apicoectomy

Apicoectomy, sometimes called root end surgery, is performed when a root canal does not alleviate pain from an infected tooth. We access the tip of the tooth’s root through a small hole in the jawbone to treat the tooth, remove the tip of the root, and seal the area.

Cracked Teeth

Cracked teeth may cause severe pain, lead to infections, and damage adjacent teeth. However, with early treatment, these issues can be effectively managed, preserving the teeth, relieving pain, and preventing infection.

Traumatic Injuries

Any traumatic injury to the face can damage or displace the teeth. Teeth that are pushed back into the gumline, cracked, or knocked out must be treated quickly to save them. Our doctors are experienced in treating a wide range of traumatic injuries to the teeth, gums, and jawbone.
